I’m an empty nester, except for my hubby and one Rottweiler.  Sadly, on March 11, 2012, our loveable ditzy female Rottweiler Roxy (pictured above on the left) passed away.  Apollo (above on the right), our male mix (Rottweiler and something else, possibly a Shepherd), misses her as do Terry and I. *

* Summer 2012 Update:  We adopted a female Rottweiler in late July.  Her name is Alexis, but we call her Lexy.

I’ve lived in Kansas all my life, but may eventually migrate south to join my kids in Texas.

I’m an avid reader and so you will see many books reviews here.  Click here for my definition of a five star rating scale.  I also occasionally quest and campaign on Aardwolf, an online text-based MUD.  I am an amateur astronomer, sometimes a competitive Scrabbler, love to bake bread, especially various varieties of sourdoughs, and when I’m really bored (or when it’s really cold outside), I crochet.
